Julie Setmeyer
Julie is a kind and compassionate therapist that values authentic connections with each client. This partnership creates a better understanding of yourself with techniques, tools and strategies that facilitate healing on your journey forward. She takes a person centered approach while incorporating counseling techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) , Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Mind Body integration tools as well as a variety of other techniques. She is passionate about helping clients heal from past traumas, understand the impact of trauma in their current life and use therapeutic tools to move forward. Julie enjoys working with adult individuals, first responders, couples and older teens.
Julie received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Purdue University, West Lafayette and her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Indiana University, Bloomington.
She and her husband have been married 22 years, have three children and a doodle named Charlie.
